Anyone in West London have navcoder and Cables - Need to find Bluetooth Passkey

Hi, does anyone in the West Londno area (currently in Hayes, near heathrow) have Navcoder and the relevant cables to connect to my z4 coupe in order to discover the Bluetooth Passkey?

Attempted opening the carpets in the boot and couldnt find it.

Would pay for the inconvenience (not as much as BMW are quoting of course).

Thank you

:-)

Isnt the bluetooth passkey usually 1111 or 1234 or 0000. It should tell you what it is and then ask you to confirm it on the device you are trying to connect. However i have been known to be wrong.

Hi, thanks for the reply

The pass key is 4 digits but it differs on each vehicle. Normally you get a card with the manuals but I cant find it in my pack.

Have you had a look at the telephone manual, it has a red oldstyle telephone kiosk on the front, sometimes it is stuck inside the cover.

Yeah I've looked at every manual that came with the car. Nothing at all reference the BT code.

Have you followed the guide on here?

How To Find Out Your BlueTooth Passcode + Pair It [Guide]

Search for that thread

Hi, yep seen that. It requires me to pry open the boot which I am not comfortable doing. Hence I wanted the software and cables. Appreciate the assistance though.

Will probably require getting the boot carpet up though to connect the nav coder. Mines connected to the cd changer plug which is where they suggest to connect to.

OP. Getting the carpet up isn't hard, give it a go, you really would have to be heavy handed to do any damage.

open boot, remove two floor carpets, then lift box section bit upwards behind passenger side, tgere it is, ulf box. Now get your phone with flash on and record video, now put it up over top of the unit, its on thr left hand side as a sticker. I did this today, now have bluetooth up and running on my 2003 Z4.

I also may need this. I've taken the boot apart on the coupe and there is no sticker on the module. BMW have been more than useless and tell us it can't be found out via a computer.

If anyone can find it out I'll reward beer tokens

I think you can also see this code with inpa (maybe even change it). I recall seeing it; dont know if that was with inpa or with rheingold(ista), but they are both kkl interface/ediabas programs

Navcoder is for an Ibus interface isnt it?

navcoder does get you the passkey 4 digit code for pairing phone, here's mine.

If you pull up the bottom carpet, then pull forwards on the bottom of the bulkhead carpet a gap will open up at the top.

Squeeze your hand down with phone recording like someone said.

its the module 'TCU' and the sticker is on the back side so record towards yourself.

Superb replies thanks guys

So I found the code, but now I have another issue.
So the car displays bluetooth pairing on the lcd, and with the code I found I connect my mobile to the bluetooth. It now states connected on my mobile and literally a second later it states not connected.

I have tried another mobile, android and iphone, and still the same issue.
I have also cleared the bluetooth history but again it connects for a second and then disconnects.

Any ideas?
