Anyone heard of Goodride Winter Tyres?

Called my local tyre fitters with the intention of ordering some Falken or maybe Wintrac winter tyres. After a chat with a couple of the guys, they mentioned some own brand Goodride SW602 winters that they reckon are pretty decent. Now, my first thought is they're just trying to flog something they have in stock, however I thought I'd put the feelers out here to see if anyone has had any experience with them? My winter wheel set-up is 225/45/R17.

On second thoughts, my gut feeling says these are way too cheap to be any good. Unless anyone comes back with anything good to say, I'll be sticking to tried and tested brands...

Hhmmmmm I dunno....:

Hope that's of some help :)

Not a brand I'm familiar with, but then even a cheap budget winter tyre will be better in snow/ice than a great summer tyre

Have a look at Camskill and Mytyres to get a idea of availability and pricing. That size is the same as I had on my SLK, I'd say you're looking at £90 a corner upwards.

I have a set on mine - very good summer tyres, although i have switched to bridgestones at the rear.

A good buy but obviously one should not compare a chinese brand with a european brand like continental with massive R&D.
