Anyone have experience in removing rollover hoops?

Im planning on respraying the rollover hoops on my Zed - any advice please from the forum who are experienced with splitting and separating the hoops in order to remove them off the car?

To be honest splitting the hoops is possible but I think you will damage some of the clips when doing it. One of the guys at Zedfest had his coated with a gloss black and it looked fantastic. I think it was Adam (59custom) so try PMing him

I have painted mine only broke a few clips on the first hoop i took off theres loads of clips that hold them in
place it doesnt matter if a few are broken, have pm'd you

I got a set off an Ebay breaker for like £20 (bargain) and they only broke 1 clip on each. There's about 8-10 clips per piece so doesn't really matter if a couple break. From memory I remember reading its best to remove 1 side 1st to access the clips for the other side easier but can't remember which, worth finding out before you start.
