Anyone have a garage door remote?

I solved this one with a fun mod. I took the guts from my existing garage door remote (open up the plastic case), then picked up a momentary push button switch from Radio Shack. Black, faily small, discrete - and wired this to the existing mini-switch on the garage door opener circuit card. I added about 12" of wiring so this effectively then becomes a remote switch. Drilled the appropriate size hole in the panel just under the AC/ radio (where most also drill hole for AUX in) and mount the switch. Took out some of the unnecessary buttons from the remote case, and reassembled the case, because the battery connector was located in one side of the case. Then just mounted the remote control with velcro behind the panel.
The button is virtually un-noticeable because it is black, and on the underside of the panel, but it is very conveniently located. Battery is easy enough to change, when required.
The whole thing took about two hours, and works great. No problems with transmission to the receiver unit. It will open my garage door from half a block away.
Now with pictures:
