Yup, it's the tool cage for the unit - Stop any thieving scum from getting in and grabbing stuff. Gonna paint it hi-vis yellow when it's finished and welded together, so it can be seen by anyone sniffing around..

Are the exterior walls protected :? most decent criminals with a little guile find it easy enough to get through concrete blocks once they identify a target :(

Yes m8, those pics are of the cage in situ when I bought it, in my unit it's going against two internal, structural walls. Also having good security gates over the main entrance and fire escape doors, along with 4k CCTV and alarm with communicator.

The unit itself is in a secure compound of only 8, with a 7ft high perimeter fence, and locked gates, as well as CCTV cameras direct to the council control room..

My thoughts being, that if someone does decide to have a go, they'll be looking to get in, grab anything they think is of value and get back out.. Anything to stop them getting to the tools etc is gonna stop that.

You've got me paranoid now.. I think I'll be welding some more sections of bars inside against the walls now, making it fully five sided...

Already made sure that the hinges and padlock will be on the inside to prevent them being attacked...

The Snap-On man gave me a rundown of my toolbox and contents for insurance purposes.
Just under £21k. Unbelievable. Worth spending a grand locking it up best you can.
1 drawer alone was 3K.
Waxes = 10K.
Business takes money. No buggers taking it away for nowt.
