The car I test drove today had the DCT box, christ it was good :o any owners with it any (living with it) comments?

I have. I havn't had any kind of auto for years but when looking for the replacement for my TVR the new Z looked the best.I fancied a change and tried the DCT 35, and I can only say it hasn't dissapointed. In drive its just point and go but the gear changes are very very smooth. In sport and sport+ the gears are held longer and change down is quicker with the added benefit of the paddles or the gear stick to go up or down through the gears - enough choise for me! The DCT is automatic but not like an automatic I was used too of old.

Kryton, I have had mine with the DCT for just over 2 months and think it is fantastic. I support all that m999psw, says and would add that on top of all that with the DCT I get 29mpg around town and 33 plus on a trip!

I think DCT is a must-have option for sDrive35i. It can change gears faster than manual (0.1 sec), and give slightly higher mpg. But for sDrive23i/30i, I will stick with manual. Why do I pay more for going slower from 0-62mph?

I see you have the Sports suspension and 19" alloys, I was thinking about getting these but was concerned the ride might be to hard in " comfort" mode ?

A perfect sDrive35i should have DCT, adaptive M sport suspension, and 18"/19" wheels. Normal mode with adaptive suspension should be softer than standard suspension. It should help if the car is fitted with 19".

I tried a DCT and it is very good! Almost pulled me away from manual, but not quite! Guess I am a bit old school there! Th paddles just feel like driving a racing sim on the PS3. I would miss the manual gear shift/clutch thing! :driving: :P

Had a Z4 Sdrive .35i during a weekend with DCT and I was suprised about it. It is way above all DSG's I've driven so far. Don't use the paddles btw, only use the manual front/back stick :).

I understand 35i's had a lot of problems with the "High Pressure Fuel Pump" hope it's solved now :driving:
