Has anyone else got one!? How the hell did you get it to fit using the stock pipes? Mines a good 2 inches out from lineing up with the air intake and a a VERY tight fit all round. I can't beleive is was actually designed for the Z4 specifically - its so poor!

Looks like i'm either gonna have to get serious with the Samco and ditch some of the OEM tubes or return the unit.

and yes i've also tried fitting it with air intake tube connected to the engine and fitting the air filter to the air sensor end - it makes no difference!

It almost looks like the extension from the carbon fiber to the hard plastic may be the difference if you can get away without having to use it. Or, as a long shot, maybe you can shorten that piece. ...dean

Yes... I did consider that, but it would leave me two peices of hard plastic (not tubing) to join.
I think i've found a bit of Samco that'l do the trick - 90 degree reducing elbow should allow me to remove the OEM tube between the air sensor and the engine. Fingers crossed.

It had better sound amazing afer all this!

1) That looks like it could be loud as hell.
2) I'm not thrilled with their filter or housing design. Looks like its designed for style and noise more than performance. You'll be pulling a lot of hot engine bay air with that horn. I'd suggest a Dinan scoop to try to get as much cooler air to it as possible.

I'm hoping it will sound pretty cool rather than loud as hell!
I guess we'll see!

It's shape is such that it is angled and partially cut off from the warmer air in the engine -it's angled to collect air coming in from the side of the kidney grill through the bmw ducting. Fingers crossed it’ll work out in the end and won't be unbearably loud!
