These were the official BMW luggage rails. You could attach the official case onto them.

I take it these objects are waterproof in some way ??? not that I want one.
When i first started looking for a zed and saw these i thought they were grab handles like jfk had on his presidential limo for the secret service outrider guys to grab onto.
Then i remembered seeing him get his brains blown out in said limo.
Then i thought to myself- nah, dont want these on my zed cos i'll keep thinking about the gory blood-spattered interior and mess if i had the top down and some tard to a pot shot at me from a book depository window.
