Just curious to see what they look like... Seen the silver photos in the gallery but not any black versions.

Black Sapphire Metallic too!

Having the Hardtop is like having two cars in one!

Have to say that looks great on a Sapphire Black car!

My old one was Sapphire Black, and never thought it would look as good!

Wow, thanks for the pics. They look great !

I'll have to get one before they stop being manufactured. Will be great for winter.

I must say, I was thinking about a hard top, but the sides of it don't seem to have been designed to fit in with the design on either side, the bottom of each side comes down where it looks like it should be straight..

Does it actually sound quieter with this and you can hear the engine better?

Hunter.
I was out in Glasgow last week and seen a titanium silver like your's and mine. It had the hard top. It looked amazing, honest. I was going to the pictures with the wife and i made her stand about for 5 mins as i looked at it from aross the street. It looked that good

What was the fit like? The ones ive seen always look like they where made for a slightly different car.

Yes, the lines of the side take a little getting use to - but overall, it's shape works real well with the car's lines. The spoiler on top really looks like it belongs.

As far as quieter - I didn't really appreciate how good the soft top is until I got the hard top. The difference between the soft and hard has more to do with feel. Actually, it's like having two different cars - and I can have the other one anytime I want. Well almost, when I can get my wife help me put the top on or off.

Is there any advantage putting on the hard top? I think the soft top does a great job.

The advantage I can see is when there is a forecast for bad weather for several days, I can put on the hardtop. While it is on, it is like driving someone else Z4, until it gets nice out and you can't wait to take it off.

The fit is pretty good. You can adjust the posts on each side to settle the front down tighter if there is wind noise.

I'm liking the "no need to clean birdcrap off the soft top" factor
along with the "not having do the waterproof treatment regularly during winter"
and having better view out of back the car
and for better security if I was to leave the car parked in the city.

Then in summer when I actually can put the top down, hard top can come off.

I had my hardtop on for 5 months this past winter. The only 2 differences I really really notice now with the softop up is the increased noise level and the lack of rear visibility, as the blind spots are a lot smaller with the hardtop. But then again, in the nice weather when you have the soft top down those are never a concern.

[That seems to sit very high. needs lowering. Lovely looking all the same.[/quote]
