Hi Guys

Just got the new zed, and looking to do some basic upgrades as this one is 100% oem at the moment.

Only looking a few extras - Rear Quads clear lights , stubby ... something at the front? thats it otherwise senior managment at home will have a fit!!! :P

I have a question this one has xenons which is great but I do have the orange indicators inside this time which is frustrating as I want clear ones!! :D but really do not fancy paying 500-600 quid + for replacments :?

Input appericated:

So can you replace just the lens? or just tint the lens? maybe a crazy idea??? pics about?

As I did this on my Audi TT once see thread: http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=199516

What grill should I go for all black or chrome/black fins?? with orange indicators lens?

Last one once again maybe crazy again what about a LCR splitter on a Z4?? It would fit I reckon and it only 40 quid and a few self tappers so no worries, only thing is clearance as per TT thread.

Just a few ideas

Paza

P.s New sig and pic coming soon!!! cleaned her when I got back from work then a massive thunder storm!! , only had her 14 hours so far glad to be back (3.0 se in black , cream leather , etc etc update this week)

Am sure they can come apart , but it maybe difficult that my thinking otherwise other may have done this in the past, otherwise I think its parting with the cash. Last time I had clear lights but the visability was poor , hence why xenons were more important this time

if you do have a quick search, you'll see they won't come apart by heating method, you need to cut them open. CJ has done these and some has followed in his footsteps with success.

Ekk sounds expensive , I have seen a tread on this I was unsure if this was the only method? , well looks like me and the carrots are sticking together then!

Me too!!!!!!

Navid is right - I have done the conversion to clear headlights. you will need to find 2 facelift lights with clear indicators on ebay or somewhere (I got both lights for about 200 pounds delivered). you then need to cut them both open, remove the orange indicators and replace with clears, and glue the lights back together.

It will take you a good weekend of work to do it.

Clear quad spots are pretty easy tho, you can find completely clear rear lights and paint them yourself, or buy the quad spot lights off ebay. it's only 4 nuts and a plug to swap em for replacements. If you want the facelift tail lights it's a nightmare to upgrade

Cheers Hotride,

I think I put them on the back burner for now, just get the rears sorted and grill, best keep an eye on ebay then :D ,

Stubby Ordered :P
