Doh says I should have recoverey discs! comet never supplied any I remeber as I questioned it with them when purchasing the laptop ... any advances?

I think you are supposed to burn your own aren't you ? My wife's keeps,asking her to do this and I keep forgetting - probably because of the obvious logic gap in that statement. Think I'll do some soon... Asking Sony is a good idea though.

usually yes - its exactly what Microsoft is suing Comet for, because they had the audacity to do just for their customers (because of an influx of people needing rebuilds) and sell them for about £14.
