Anyone for a spot of jealousy?????

Ye I get a lot of looks in mine... only last week there was a Lexus driver who was blatantly staring at the car and me of course I noticed him so had a quick look back and next minute hes shouting a load of abuse at me lol. Sadly I was going around a corner and police was behind him so I couldn't do anything back lol.

Most of us have had it. My pet hate is when they ask, why my husband is letting me drive his car. You cannot win - if you are a women driving one especially the 3 lt or the M then its a blokes car, but if you are a man driving one, its a womens car!

I get more good than bad comments and people do look, but hey i choose to drive a loud red soft top so i have to take the rough with the smooth. The only comments i take notice of are the ones that have good things to say. Ignore everyone else, its either jealously or ignorance. As long as you are smiling that the important thing, had mine nearly a year and i am still smiling :D

Why is your husband letting you drive his car?

" Because my Aston is in the shop"
 Nearly true went and looked at some Astons last week, was going to chop the M in, but ended up keeping the M and bought a DISCO as a spare car. The DISCO dealer told my hubbie (well partner) he really liked his car (we arrived in the M, i was driving), Aston guy also thought we where buying the car for him and not me :x . My partner laughed and after a very stern glare from me, quickly put the Landrover sales guy right and told him he nearly lost a sale.

Why cant women drive great cars - maybe i do not you guys to answer that  perhaps i should have got rid of the M and bought a nice 1lt fiesta, someone shot me if i ever do that.

Your a very lucky woman lol, id like to know what your partner drives if you are getting all these nices cars!!

Years back my sister in law, 5'1 and looked like Donna Summer the disco queen, was shopping for a 'Vette and unbeknownst to the moron selling the car he was up against a girl whose previous boyfriend was a Hotrodder. He built and owned custom rods, '32 Fords with 500hp printed engines, speedboats with the same 454ci engines and his pride and joy a 454 'Vette from the 70's. After she finished tearing him numerous new a**holes he crawled in a hole and died. She didn't buy his car either.

Don't put up with it, tell em where to get off. My Gf has a Benz and a BMW 325Ci and I pity the fool that crosses her. It won't be me.... :D

03 plate 350z - though it has been modified. He only does about 3k a year so the nissan has only done 13k since he bought it. Nice car but too noisy for me and worse of all its a coupe :poke: I have to say that car has been damn reliable, i know some have had issues, but been really impressed with the minimal running costs he has had, you get a lot of car with for your money with a 350Z. His motorbikes and model planes hog the garage, so that stops me having something really special that would need the garage. I love cars, fortunatly it is my money i spend on cars so i get to buy what i like. Do not think he would dare interefere, though he does try hard to steer me towards more sensible cars, the more he pushes the worse i get, if he reversed his thinking, he could have had me driving a ford KA

He also gets stick in his as well, though a 350z driver probably deserves it, i do tell him he really needs to bare his chest and wear a medallion to look the part in the 350Z  My red M and his orange 350 look great travelling together, but he is always in my rear mirror :D

I've only had the car a few weeks and have had nothing but positive comments, I few years ago I had a new boxster S and wow, the small minded people at work used to be so jealous, I couldn't believe how shallow and catty some people could be - never actually bothered me, I think it said more about them than it did me :D

On the flip side.

I was driving out of the carpark in the gym the other day, when 2 young lads (guessing about 6-8yrs old?) waited patiently until i drove by with their mother stood beside them, as i drove past one of them said "WOW" and the other one said to his mother loudly......"Mum is that a Lamborghini".....

the first thing that popped into my mind was..."i wish"......Made me laugh on the way home though.

I had another one where a retired old couple where leaving my local sainsburys as i waited for the mrs outside. They walked past with their shopping and she said "....wow, what car is that. I really like the wheels..." she said it to her husband. It was the last thing i expected an old woman to say !..respect to her for liking my deep dish wheels  !

I've had a few comments but I think it's mainly from people that have a couple of kids and have to drive a "normal" car! Wait until the weather's better and you have the top down, you actually get to hear what people say! Last summer I was driving along Weymouth Quayside and a very good looking woman said to her bloke, "oo, that's nice, you should buy one of those',

Yes,the roadster looks good roof up,but even better roof down.
u get alot more admiring glances, espcly when ppl(esp sexy women in short skirts, lol),are walking by in the warm weather :D

Inuit, nice choice of car/better than ur "hubbies" 350z,lol

Do you ever get the little cars or slower, cheaper cars tailgating and doing their damndest to pass you then they slow down or turn off but the just had to get past you.? It doesn't matter how fast you are going either. I used to get that a lot in my Z3 then I didn't notice it in my M3 (because it looked like every other E46), I never get it in my Pickup :D but now that I am in the new Zed I'm noticing it more and more. I call it some form of jealousy. :driving:
