Anyone following the winter Olympics?

Your sis must have "some" connections, the USA vs Canada Hockey game was the #1 ticket to get. Too bad the USA outplayed us, their goalie was superb, ours wasn't.
If she has she ain't told me! :D

I think she just applied via the Olympics website from within the UK. No idea TBH, but in her words (via Facebook): "anada USA game was immense, pity about the result though............." and "oh yeah, have visited Victoria and the Lovely Corinne, flown back to Vancouver in a sea plane, saw Joe sakic at the USA-Canada match and is generally having a great time!" Who's Joe Sakic? Should I know??! Yesterday she was at Cypress Mountain for the aerials (not referring to Z4 stubbies I guess...)

OK, don't know Corrine, I'll ask my GF , she's from Victoria, Joe Sakic is a star hockey player, kind of like one of the top footballers in the UK, and aerials are the Freestyle Skiing Aerials. (go up a ramp, jump 50 feet in the air , do a multitude of flips and twists and then try to land on both skis on a 37 degree slope and look happy (that you didn't land on your head). .... I could do that, dead easy, land on my head that is. The other bit is pretty hard to do. It's like a combo of Platform Diving and ski jumping at the same time.

What a day for the Canadian athletes, wow !!! Gold and Silver in womens Bobsled, silver in short track speed skating and a bronze in long track....and that's all from the women. I think the girls are going to have a bit more stroke in future, You go girls

The mens Hockey team even woke up and hammered the Russians 7 to 3.
