Anyone fitted one of these?

I apso thought about fitting this brace, but AFAIR manufacturer claims its for 2.0 and 2.2 litre versions.
But looking under my 3.0si i dont think it would collide with anything - supposingly onlyp exhaust would be a problem, but I dont think it will.

Another option is rear reinforcement from strong strut, but that costs twice as much.

To fit that , you'de have to remove the BMW factory fitted brace which I bet is just as effective as that one

no. 18 on the real oem linky http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BT32&mospid=47796&btnr=33_1138&hg=33&fg=30

I wouldn't of thought it would be a lot different either

Unless it's super light and super strong waste of money

To be fair it appears to be more bracing than two 'pull rods' as they're called. As the brace is a fixed brace with centre and cross supports I'd imagine its stiffer.

If you'd notice any difference in da to day life however... I doubt it, but then, if you removed the 'pull rods' all together, how much difference would you notice in serene, day to day driving...

True about the extra bracing still a lot of money

Driving like my nan I wouldn't imagine you would notice

But driving hard round roundabouts it may reduce scuttle shudder that you would feel

I bought the strut brace from them. Car is so stiff braces don't really make a difference but the welds seem to be quality, and it fit well. The underside brace prolly wouldn't make a noticeable difference other than for looks and cool points. It is a bit nicer than the stock braces.
