Anyone fitted a pedal set?

After putting new custom mats in the Z, I'm thinking it would be nice to lift the look of the boring rubber pedals in my M... Has anyone fitted and pedal cover sets and how do you find they work grip wise?

I have.. the grip is perfectly fine.. I feel no difference to the normal pedals tbh.

Posted these a couple of times - but not for over a year i would say!

I have the set from a 1 series:




Grip wise the brake and clutch is fine... no difference from stock really.. the accelerator isnt rubber.. just plastic + metal - similar to the stock one i guess.. but as its metal with leather soled posh shoes can be slippy - hardly wear posh shoes when driving so no biggy!

Looked high and low for a matching footrest.. eventually found one from america - but the cost was unreasonable - and no guarantee it would fit well!

Did you have to drill the existing pedals to fit those 1 series ones? Looks like it.

Yeah they are drilled and then bolted on.. it came with a stick on template - the accelerator and clutch are plastic so were easy - the brake pedal being steel was a right pain.... i broke 2 drill bits in the process and almost gave up - the only thing that made we keep going was i couldnt get the rubber cap back on it :lol:

The advantage of the 1 series one vs ebay equivalent being they have 3 holes and not 4 - so one less hole to drill :lol:
