Hi is mac27040 of the forum, we are parked up in car park at catmore campus on a606 after train station in Oakham. Follow road out of Oakham to Melton and at first round about turn left
Neil

Just got back. Had a fantastic time, met some fun new people, :driving: the ass off my car to keep in touch with the leading M :)

Some real nice roads out there, was tempted to hit the B6047 one last time on the way home but didn't in the end.

Now time to give the car one final bath then in the garage it goes on its stilts, under a blanket and next to a radiator. Lucky little thing isn't it!

I wish I could hibernate too.

Sorry had to leave due to warning light on dash saying puncture, also roads were a bit harsh for a lowered car which kept bottoming out, thought wheels were destroying arches!!
Good to meet up though.

No problem Neil, great of you to turn up :)

Puncture light was most likely due to the mud on the roads causing one wheel spinning slightly faster than the other. Mine's done it before when the car left the road on a hump back bridge, scary noise/lights but nothing to worry about really. I'm sure If you had a real puncture you would have felt it before the car sensed it.

I think Oli's car was having some suspension issues too, going on the smell it was emitting when we stopped to part ways.

Great day out, just got home after a little detour. Thanks Pete for organising it and Mark for doing the navigating. Don't think my tyres were rubbing, certainly didn't hear them if they were, was just a very hot exhaust causing the smell :o

I enjoyed that, a little tinkle on the valve springs :D

Neil we did slow up but figured you had peeled off for home on the A1. oli, I saw you pull offer on the A1, but no flashing lights so figured you were OK. Really liked the red interior and black grills on your car, looked very smart.

Pete, hats off to you, you peddled that little 2L well, very impressed.

Glad you liked the Rutland/links roads, that loop from Corby Glen is a real roller coaster of a road :) a great road in the dry and warm.

Thanks.

To be fair, there's only so much power you can put down on moist muddy roads. I just used all of what was available to me where as you guys were probably backing off a bit.

I just pulled in to a lay by to answer a text, so yep was fine :D The red interior is what made me fall in love with the car.

Good example for the rest of us there Oli, respect for actually stopping to answer the text/phone.

Pete, I have a slight confession, I was trying on a few occasions, In between the traction light and my arse cheeks saying no.
