What I don't understand here is why are the victims, sorry passengers not walking some of these sections - it must be safer than the risk of the bus going over the side ? cool waterfall - had some scary bus journeys in Peru (& Laos) but nothing quite like this.

Correct, Chenab Valley in northwest india. There was a small article about it in this months Climb Magazine.
