Anyone else wake up to this....?

When the roads look "that" nasty our company lets us stay home. However, getting paid is sometimes optional. ! You see, no-one knows if the the roads are bad enough to be a "snow" day or not.
WE fight our way through drifts, dodging road blocks (they usually put them up AFTER we go by), black ice roads, whipping the dog teams mercilessly and arrive at work only to find that the "jokers"(no swearing allowed) that don't have 4x4's or friendly dog teams are getting paid to stay home while we, the denser ones, are put to work. Aaarggh.

3 more months of this crap then I can put the Zed on the road, maybe.

Monday, my car is stuck, should i clear the avenue so i can get to work tomorrow?

lol.. no. Health and Safety would suggest you need adequet protective gear, and as you've not been supplied with said items, you shouldn't endanger your health for work-related activities...

:P

whilst attempting to clear the road i slipped, should i put in a claim or will they just say i should have carried my own risk assesment

Time to ring a "no win no fee" :P

I had heard that the Zed would not be very good on the slippery stuff and judging by spud`s reply the info is spot on.
Think i`ll leave it in the garage nice and cosy like. :|
