So, after 11 pages... can the OP please put us all out of our misery and reveal what BMW Munich responded with ?

They told him to f*ck off 8)

I'm torn between:

whether it is unique so he's shut up because he's got the information he wanted.

Or

whether it isn't and he doesn't want to admit it.

and

giving zero fucks either way.

Bugger, just come back to this thread. Where did I miss the end of season 1, page 9 or 10? Has the lead role been killed off? :( Will have to use catch up or wait until it's out on Netflix.

According to BMW, there are zero cars like mine in Europe. I.e., a Crimson red E89 with an N54 motor and a manual six speed gearbox and the extended ivory leather interior.

For the world, including paddle shift cars and stick shift cars, a total of 28 crimson red cars were made with the N54 motor and the extended ivory interior.

BMW states they can only run three factors at a time.

Based on the relevant ratio of N54 Steptronic Sport transmission cars to manual gearbox cars, 86 percent of the cars were steptronic and 14 were manual.

So, BMW's best estimate is, of the total run of all E89 Z4s produced there are total of four cars like mine, including mine. Of course, there could be only 2 or there could be 5, but the best mathematical calculation is a grand total of three other cars.

So, I am thankful to BMW for providing this information. Zero cars like mine in all of Europe, a total of four, including mine, globally.

I'm holding out hope BMW may yet come up with an exact figure.

I also found this information BMW provided interesting:

BMW Z4 sDrive35i E89, Engine N54B30O0 worldwide 18.864 pcs

BMW Z4 sDrive35i E89, Engine N54B30O0 USA 6.988 pcs

Can you explain how you got the number 4 of your combinaton cars world wide?

Given that BMW state 28, disregarding transmission type. It is a big assumption to assume that 86% of these cars in your specific combo are auto. Even though the ratio is 86:14 real world scaling is not always linear and has other factors. IE the 35is falls under N54 and are all DCT. Yet the 35i has the manual option. I know many people bought the 35i for the manual box.

So while the 35is is 100% automatic figures
The 35i would be around 72% auto assuming they both sold equal amounts.

This would make 10 of your cars world wide.
The amount of 35i and 35is cars world wide would be helpful.

Hopefully BMW give further information
