I've had X3 Yamaha R1s, X2 Honda Fireblades, GSXR1000, Kawasaki Z1000 (street fighter), Suzuki CBR600 Fsport.

Yep, love my bikes. I've only been riding for around 4 years.

So far I've had:

Suzuki GSX-R 600 K7
Kawasaki Z750 2011
Couple of Ducati Monster M600's
Kawasaki Ninja ZX6-R P8F

Currently I've got an MV Agusta F3 675 and Tuesday I pick up a new Monster 821 for my daily ride.

Hi Paul, it's never been published to my knowledge? Wish I still had it now, they're worth a packet!

I used to get 'Superbike' mag and owners used to send in photos - your photo rang a bell for me as I always thought the RG500 was special bike - can't have been you then :lol: . Very sought after now of course and what a design a square engine two stroke - magic (if you can get the parts to rebuild the engine carbs and inlet still?). Great photo by the way

I've had a fair few bikes myself. My father used to restore old British and Italian bikes as a business back in the 70's so i was bought up with old long forgotten names like Ariel, Sunbeam, Matchless etc, but what he loved himself was Broughs and Vincents. When Vincent went out of business my father used to make parts for customers in our garage on a lathe or milling machine etc .....happy days. Anyway i was bought a basket case FS1-E IN 1979 and told to rebuild it, after that came many many bikes for rebuild {over 200} but now as many have also said I rarely get out as i should, but my last rebuild was this......

Rob, I bet you had a better sex life than I did in my 20's though ! , yes I have a book with every reg number,model and purchase price and sale price written in it , the Guzzi you see is number 215 . The book started in 1979 reads like a personal motorcycle history and so many bikes I've owned are now priceless , makes me weeps !

I have never been a fan of Guzzis but that is a nice bike

They are an acquired taste for sure, but the engineering on a Guzzi is normally pretty sound and if serviced regularly and looked after they are a joy. Electrical issues, yep, it's Italian ! But you get style and over engineering in the mechanicals , and with Guzzi you get shaft drive, so less maintenance in the drive train and gorgeous styling. They handle extremely well for such a heavy bike and with the top ohlins suspension and a few trick bits like the fully floating discs and Brembo calipers, it's a very competent package. Old schoool and nowhere near as fast as a modern itchy fanny 500 ! But pure class in my opinion . Basically it's a good looking beemer .

Good to see lots of bike riding enthusiasts on here

I am an enthusiast, I love going to BSB, WSB and MotoGP when I can or at the least watching iron TV when I can. After a number of years of road riding the group I was associated with progressed to trackdays ultimately leading me to lose the enjoymenu in the road riding and as the social group dispersed over time for one reason or another I and a few others in the group have given up road riding totally and focus our time on the bike track Day riding.

So much so all I have done in the last two or three years is trackdays, moved on to euro trips and they are almost guaranteed sunshine and quality track time when compared to the uk events.

I have since learnt that crashing at in excess of 110mph does not result in major injury on a track. On the road, apart from breaking the law that would be potentially instant death... Something I plan on avoiding for a while longer yet

Here are my current bikes and my Z4 which was an attempt at purging myself of the need for bikes. Which to the dismay of my missus just means I have more toys to spend money on
There's a T140V Bonnie restoration in the garage alongside a Honda XBR 500 which belonged to my late mother. Biking family, the Bonnie was my father's.
The Diavel is a recent replacement for my R1 5PW which I had since 2004 and had toured Europe upto Estonia, Latvia,Lithuania down to Slovenia and all points in between.
Bad RTA in 2010 mean my limbs don't articulate sufficiently to make the R1 a viable option, hence the Ducati,Which is an absolutely brilliant bike.

If I ever have to give up sportsbikes and get rid of my R1 it will be a Diavel I will probably get.

Also it can hustle through the twisties as long as you don't mind dragging your footpegs/toes, which can be very disconcerting when you are used to the R1's ability at touching nothing metallic down

I read an article when the Diavel and the new V Max came out and they went on a test ride to compare the two, think it might have been Performance Bikes.
The guy who was on the Diavel first swapped onto the V Max and crashed it on one of the bends as it couldnt go round at the same speed as the Diavel.

I'm relatively new to biking, having only done my CBT this April (at the age of 26!) but I am currently the proud owner of a Suzuki Intruder VL125! The plan is to hopefully do my full test next year, and then one day get myself a Harley - current favourite is a Dyna Street Bob.

I've loved bikes as long as I can remember, and have been riding geared bikes since age 17, but don't have a full licence and have only owned 2 Aprilia RS125's and a Yamaha YZF R125, used primarily for commuting in London, but hopefully will do my full licence some time soon and first big bike will probably be a Honda CBR 600RR or a Triumph Daytona 675. I'm a big fan of Ducatis, MV Agustas and Buells, and although I've always been into sports bikes, the older I get the more I like the cafe racers past and present (BMW R Nine T anyone?) and British classics.
