Anyone else get p'd off with hairdresser remarks?

I couldn't give a stuff if anyone made any comments. It's your car/your choice. Perhaps as said, you need new friends.

Honest answer to the "hairdresser" gibe - "yep, that's what I do in the evenings/weekends and the money lets me but a £30k car. Feel pretty s**t now don't you?"

:)

The run of the mill comment from women is, "You got a small Kn*b M8" had a couple of those, was ready for the last one though when i replied "Well its not that big in comparison to your gut"

You know you won when they tell you to F off :)

I find the hairdresser comments are from people who know f••• all about cars. I wouldn't let it bother you.

it used to bother me but when I'm driving home from work hearing the fantastic engine note and pass them bus wan•••• at the bus stop it's me that's laughing !

I love the comment, thanks for the compliment, where's your pile of s**t parked lol, will have to use that, Clint Eastwood stylie :)

As previously said the positive comments outweigh the negatives.
I had two approving things in the past fortnight.

Sitting at lights in Edinburgh, Big f**k off shiney Harley with complimentary hairy biker attached, pulls up alongside, my Roof was up, I was caught by him admiring his bike, he then pointed to car and gave the thumbs up.

On saturday big ferrari coming up main drag in town, My roof down, wife in car I was Giving it loads of drooling and "check that out", happened we stopped next to each other briefly going in opposite directions, He must have been about 60ish and had a look of a man who had been getting a few shouts and comments, I looked at him and said "Swap ya M8" he then looked across smiled and said why would you want to, you got a nice car already

Point is those that have nice stuff of their own appreciate nice stuff others have, People who don't, wish they did have but will have a go at those who do.

You guys are spot on f#ck em all bunch of pu$$ies who have nothing more exciting in life than to put other people down, I have to admit i love the engine note and I also love the fact i can drive past most cars on the road thinking "i'm faster than that, that and that, hell my car would give a scooby a real run for its money". Its nearly as quick as a E46 M3 but doesnt cost as much to look after

I find that people who make snide remarks about the car, are people that don't know anything about them ;) Just offer to take them for a ride!

All cars have stereotypes, so you can always throw it back. 'Nice repmobile', 'nice chavmobile'. 'What's yours got under the bonnet, 5 crippled donkeys'?

If it's on the road, I would just ignore them tbh. A friend and myself like to 'play' with silly folly who make comments though. Let them pull ahead, think they're doing well, then roar past them near the redline.

If friends are abusing you, they're not really friends. As for comments with strangers, a simple 'so what have you got?' suffices. If they respond, just give a quick 'hmmm'. It's nicely passive-aggressive and will make their blood boil.
