Hi Wondermike, Sadly (for M owners) I think the Z4M's selling price (due to it's much higher running costs) is now pitched much closer to mainstream Z4 models of similar age.

So I guess the target market for the ///M must be seen as prospective 3.0Si buyers seduced by the comparative little extra outlay for a whole lot more car :cry:
 
I had an interesting experience with webuyanycar.com yesterday. I thought I'd get an up to date valuation from them even though I'm not sure I'm selling, and after entering my registration it said I had received a quote 72 days ago and that I could opt to retrieve that quote or get a fresh one. I figured I'd retrieve the older quote first and then get a fresh one. To my surprise the older quote was for £15,800 which actually seemed surprisingly high, so I'm amazed they were still happy to offer that given that the quote was 72 days old.

I then got a fresh quote which was for £13,200 and more what I expected, so even more surprised that they were happy to honour a very old quote that was £2,600 more than they would offer me today.

Anyway, just seemed unusual to me. At £15.8k I'd be half tempted to sell with no hassle, and I doubt even privately I'd get much more than that.
 
Owch! I paid £22k for mine a year ago. Not that i really care since i plan to be buried in it.

It certainly makes trading it in for something else even less appealing than it was previously.

well I just sold my 4 pot sport ......... and scooped a nice shiny 2006 M Seiries for 14 1/2

Not sure Id agree with some of the analogies on here :) Id never buy a new car ever ..... just couldn't bring myself to live with the depreciation :)
15K is about all Id ever pay for any car.
..................... and I just tripped over this one, click click, there it was, made a call and paid a deposit ......... simples. Picking it up next friday :thumbsup:
