Hi all after getting a couple of quotes from BMW bodyshop to sort out my front wing, i wondered if buying one from a breaker(FAB,Quarry etc) was an option,-i know its a long shot to get the correct colour, but thought it was maybe worth a try -anyone had any dealings doing this?-thanks

The condition of a painted panel from a breaker will not be perfect for you. Forget it. It will have light scratches and dents.

I bought a bumper from a breakers for the Polo as it had a damaged bumper when I bought it. It was ok for a 10 year old car, but no way are breakers panels good enough to transplant as they are stored on top of each other, ripped off carelessly and generally not cared for.

The adverts generally state that painting is a likely requirement.
