You received yet Mike ? I am still waiting!! Arggghhhhh

Nope, got a message last night saying and I quote "Good day. Many thaks for purchashing from us.
We are very sorry that there was something wrong with the last pieces.
Our engineers asked us not to ship the bad items to the customers
in order not to bring you too much trouble when use it.
No backup orders can be available now. We cannot arrange the shipment now.
It will take us a long time to arrive this item, so we will make a full refund to you,
and cancel this order. can you agree that?
We are so sorry for all the inconvenience.
Really looking forward for your reply."

So I've told them to refund me :(

Mine arrived this morning....pleased but looking forward to the glass holder coming also...

You should be able to find same product on ebay m8

I never ever used the HUD I purchased in the Z4 - it just never ticked the box with the cig charger - window display / holder sat on the dash...(it's used in my Mr2 which has a compartment - sits there perfectly with a viewer),

However, I purchased this HUD today and it's wireless and sits lovely on the dash!

Gonna try it out later!

I have used a OBDC HUD on my Mini for 3 years now, would not be without it. The added advantage for a OBDC version on a mini is it gives water temp if required (not an issue on the Z). I haven't got round to doing it on my Z4 as I find the speedo position is not too bad.

Some things you might want to consider:

I masked off all the stuff I didn't want to see with black card leaving only the two digits for the speed. I then cut down the reflective film to 50mm by 50mm and positioned it on the screen so my vision wasn't obscured. I know you are suggesting doing without it. But I found that a lot of contrast is lost and on bright days the ambient light would wash out the HUD, the reflective film helps a lot. Without the film you are also likely to get a double image of the digits giving a blurred appearance.

I agree with GPS based HUD for Z4, there is little advantage in an OBDC version.

Used it tonight. V good and sits well on dash and NO WIRES! Much better than the reflective window crap available

Sorry if I am missing something here, but did you get this because your speedo isnt working?

Do you have a photo or video of it working in situ?

Wonder how it looks as like the idea of these
