Anyone after a cheap Z4M Roadster

damnn somebody SNAP this up at this price!!

Sigh....we just might have to consider that this IS the current price level if you want to sell.

Buyers' market I'm afraid, and likely to remain that way for a long time - in fact I'm sure it's far from bottoming out yet.

As has been said before, IMHO sports cars, 2-seaters, niche cars, in short less than practical cars in the £10 -£20k area are going to be tough to sell. The reasoning behind that is that at the moment most of us mere mortals who aspire to own a Used car in this bracket are having to tighten our belts.
On the other hand, many of those who can still genuinely can afford to buy and run a car like the Z4m probably won't be interested in a 4 or 5 year old car, but will opt for a new or much newer vehicle.

I'd like to bet that the huge majority of the Z4M's market consists of people 'trading-up", NOT down, so one is trying to sell to a sector that's seriously struggling at the moment and for the foreseeable future

(Congrats on the sale by the way  )

Agree with all your sentiments mate. I also think this is the price for a private sale as tough as that is to swallow. Maybe firm up come Spring, but doubt it'll rise.

Mine was a kind of odd sideways step. A Supercharged VX220 for track and weekends and something sensible for the weekly commute.

How long before we see a £10K Z4M then? My guess is 2 years at most for a half decent one...which, from my point of view, is good news as that will fit nicely with when I'll be looking to move up from the 3.0i!

To be honest Lee, I think you're right there. For a nice unmolested Z4M in 2 years, you'll be looking around £10,000.

With Z3Ms getting similar money (i.e. still 8 - 11k now)? Would be surprised in a way though.

There of course will be cheap models about, as a large number of M's for sale seem to be dogs at the moment ...

The problem is finding the unmolested ones. To be honest if i found a good 'un in the right colour (Black or monaco blue) in the next 12 months for £12K ish I'd probably be tempted into it and I reckon that's gotta be a possibility.

trouble is, the cheaper they get the more molested ones will be about :(

I agree but might was the cheapest on the trader and it had three marks on the car.

2 x 1" kerb marks and a 1cm mark next to rear bumper which I posted on here. Interior was in superb condition, but neeed service in 2k miles, new tyres within the year etc and it's getting colder. lol

For many people they just want to sell and there aren't many buyers so prices fall.
I don't think price causes molested examples. The three I viewed (2 dealer, 1 private) were all a bit crap in parts and only one was super cheap.

I only meant in the respect that the more one pays for a car, the more you tend to cherish it.

If the prices get much lower then lots of cheap cars around means there will be more without proper service histories, lots of owners, etc - generally more cars that have been ragged
