Anyone able to do a service history check?

There is a number you can ring where bmw will tell which dealer was visited and on what date. You then call the dealer to find out what work was done.

The number is on the bmw uk site.

My local dealer said they would do it, but we keep missing each others calls during office hours!

I saw on some of the dealer sites they are mostly all on facebook and happy to answer questions so fired of a service history request to about 15 of them, the top 2 sent it straight back no problem and also Richard at Jardine did it via the live chat feature on their site and emailed me a screen shot.

Its all BS that they cant do it, every dealer can if they want to. Just most want to make you phone the premium rate phone line.
 
i went into the local independent where mine had alot of service stamps and asked them, just explained that i was looking to buy the car and i wanted to know about its history. i made it very celar that i did not want to know anything about previous owners and they were happy to tell me all sorts of stuff.

So what did you exactly ask for and what detail did they provide?
 
srhutch, i just sent them a quick message asking if they could provide details of all services and visits to BMW dealerships including its original sale location with mileage at each service/visit and those guys all came back with all the information i asked. 1 of them sent a full screen shot of the information from their system. How did you get on Pharmed?
