Anybody know the correct name for my red leather.?

Hi guys and girls

After your help. Looking at dying some new seats I've fitted into my car. Can you tell me what sort of red they are.? I've also brought a new leather for the handbrake and gear lever but ordered the wrong colour ( I know dumb ass :headbang: )

Looks like Dream Red Oregon leather to me.

Where did you buy your gaitors from and what is the colour you ordered? When I fitted mine I had a slight difference in the colour of the gaitors which I had to correct.

Got them from ebay, the seller has red and dark red listed. Looks like a need the dark red. The handbrake leather looks a pig to fit.

I'm planning or re dying the seats so want to make sure I get a colour match..

I got mine from a company called JF Boots, but I got the company to send me free leather samples which were a dark and light red leather. The colours can vary but the light red was the closest match.

Mine might look lighter in the photo but it is only the trick of the light on the camera as they are a darker red in the flesh

Nope, imola red is also a leather colour option in the M only. Srhutch has it in his, as does ZermattV, sammyz and a bunch of others. It is flatter / duller than dream red. The leather used is different too - napa in the M. Dream red leather on sports seats in non-M is oregon leather. Not sure if non sports seats are a different leather, or if the difference in leather affects the colour though ? Or if there was an earlier type of red for non sports seats. It's all very confusing :dizzy:

Lol. I am by no means an expert. I wonder if the New England and Oregon dream red leathers are a different colour ?

I would expect dream red to be the same whatever leather it's on. The nappa leather is just softer than the oregon. I think New England falls somewhere in between.
