Anybody have / had a 718 Cayman?

my wife had the 718 cayman s, it was a lovely looking car plenty of performance despite only 350bhp.
I really liked the car, even the noise wasn't as bad has some would have you believe, although it did have the sports chrono pack.
We traded it for a 911s, which was nearly X3 times the value, however im not convinced for the money it's that much better.
I wouldn't bother with the 2.0, but it depends on your budget.

I’ve read a lot about the 2.0 sounding a bit naff. Appreciate its not a flat 6 but does it sound any worse than say a Golf GTI?

I’ve had a play with the configurator, and as people have said its easy to add £1000s to the price with options. What’s this trophy all about? lol

I’d love a GTS but with the way prices are at the moment I think the T would tick my boxes. Maybe I’m better going with the slightly safer option of a well sorted E86 again, maybe an M? Despite the slight negatives I did really love it.

They sound better than a normal out of the box inline 4 Golf IMO, the GPF does mute things somewhat though so an exhaust could be added one day to help that.

I think a T model with the T interior pack is the pick of the bunch, PASM & PTV as standard (LSD) really makes it a drivers focused car.

I currently have a manual 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and previously had a PDK 718 Cayman GTS 2.5. IMHO they are fantastic cars, especially the flat six. Build quality is excellent and running costs are not too steep. It's the sort of car you can either drive gently or in anger and it always delivers. And the Cayman has more luggage space as in addition to the Boxster's frunk and trunk, you can lay things flat on the engine cover.

Thanks for all the replies and thanks for the kind offer Mr Tidy. I really need to get out and try some out but sods law something has come meaning a car will have to be put on the back burner for now :(
