Anybody had a Mini Cooper?

Personally I appreciated learning in a slightly older and less expensive car. Sounds stupid but it taught me how to keep proper distances between cars as the brakes weren't amazing, and if you're going down small lanes then not as bad if you brush a hedge! My gf has a Cooper and having driven it a few times its tight and handles well but perhaps too quick for a learner. I never found the gear shift that odd but the clutch is very on or off. Not a lot of smooth-in which might be awkward for a learner, plenty of stalling at traffic lights! Not particularly great for learning clutch control I'd say.
