Any Z4 owning motorbike riders out there?? What's your ride?

1997 Triumph Trident 900, Yamaha TDR 250 and RD 350 F2 YPVS for my two stroke fix!!
I tried to get hold of a TDR last year and eventually gave up.
During the few months of my search and inquiries the prices went up by almost £2000.
Would have loved one after almost buying one in the 90s but headed down the 4 stroke route instead, but paying over £5000 for a 23 year old beater just didnt feel right.

Snap, except I’ve had 74mph out of mine several times :P
74mph?! Please tell me how! I would love a little extra oomph from my baby. What sprocket sizes are you running?

Standard sprockets, I’ve modded the airbox but that didn’t really increase the top speed - definitely increased bottom/midrange torque though.
I’m over 17stone so not a racing whippet either

 VERY interested! I'm 6'3 and 15 stone, so anything else that gets me moving better will help.

I bought my TDR about 15 years ago as a very long term project and was able to source secondhand spares relatively easily and cheaply from Ebay. I only got bike on the road about 2 years ago. Bike is a hoot to ride. Now anything two stroke related isvery expensive. I would probably get my money back given the prices these bikes are making but its a keeper.

This lurks behind the left hand side of the airbox, take a knife to it.

Yes same engine and pretty easy to work on. Had a the 2ma model TZR, same as yours, but in Cadbury Boost colours. Brilliant bike. Suspect that I would find it uncomfortable now. Sit up and beg on TDR much better for me lol.

Back in 1988 when I was 16, I started work on Saturdays in a local motorcycle shop (Revetts of Stowmarket). Was a wonderful few years earning money for art school/beers and I met and made a lot of friends, cutting chains, reading microfiches for parts and cleaning the bikes in stock.

Remember the TDR arriving with its Powervalve technology and loving the style, along with the larger Africa Twins of the time. Was also the time of the original Fireblade, RC30 and later on the ZZRs.

The job started my love of all things motor and also helped me get my first bike, a white Honda MB5 with Micron exhaust (48mph downhill!). Living in mid-Suffolk as a teenager, that meant an instant ability to go where I wanted. What a time.

Ps, it will only reach that kind of speed if the rider’s prone on the tank - sitting upright you’re acting like a human sail & knocking the performance on the head.

About to buy a coupe but I've had a Triumph Street Triple for over 4 years. It's currently for sale now though.

Gent's, Vespa is gone, and I just put downpayment for Royal Enfield Classic 350:

Now I have to wait for a week to be delivered, but I am so excited. Mainly because I am a car guy, not a biker and I was always on Vespa (from old models to lately modern Vespa GT), so this is a big change for me. :)

Been finishing some odd jobs on the H2 recently, took it for its first run out today. What a sound - this bike makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end 8)

Couple of pics, I’ve fitted some Higgspeed expansion chambers to liven up the village a bit
Is that the engine all sorted then? I do love that bike, especially as it's the 'right' colour! Are Micron still going, or allspeed?

Looks as dry as a bone there now too! :(
