Any way to stop passenger belt knocking?

Whenever I have the passanger seat empty, the seat belt constantly knocks/rattles against the plastic behind the door.

On my mini there was something on the seatbeat that let you push it up which stopped it flapping.....

Anyone else had this problem and come up with a solution?

Yes, mine does it too.
I either move the seat forward a bit so it clears the door opening trim or tuck the belt tang (end) in to the edge of the seat back cover.

I have it 'hooked' along the side of the seat (where the passenger's left tricep usually rest whiles on the seat).

i have the same problem. i normally swing it over the side support as above but it sometimes falls back under cornering. not that big an issue but why did bmw in their 10,000 mile testing not notice this? maybe ive the seat to far back or something?

Iv tried tucking in around seat bolsters etc, but I live in middle of countryside down bumpy turn filled lanes and it always falls almost straight back off..... so annoying!

Just plug it in like someone is in the seat that stop it
looks a bit naff  thats the down side

mine seems to stay round the seat so never caused me a problem. of cousr I have the M seats though

I had this also. Simple solution, move the buckle right to the top of the belt next to the recess it comes out from when it's hanging free. It seems to stay in place and doesn't drop down even when flinging the car around or on a bumpy road!
