I've just bought a LG 55 OLED C9 tv, which will be delivered on Tuesday, but need a decent soundbar or surround system to go with it...anyone have a good recommendation that stays within a £500 budget?

What Hifi is probably your best source of information, you can’t go far wrong with their advice.

I got the LG 55 OLED B8 last year and later bought the LG SL8YG soundbar plus the satellite surround speakers. Really pleased with the setup. If there’s a Richer Sounds local to you, they’re very helpful and can demo any sound bars you fancy.

I got the TV from Richer Sounds today, really helpful chap on the phone. He said the Sonos Beam was a cracking soundbar and good for music playback as well...might give that one a good.

Has anyone actually replaced a dedicated 5.1 setup with one of these?

I have Monitor Audio Silvers with a BK Monolith and a decent Yamaha receiver, but really want something a bit less in-your-face but without sacrificing too much quality.

I did with a very expensive soundbar setup. I am in the process of changing back to a 7:1 system for improved surround sound which the soundbar with wireless satellite speakers (wired for electric though) can't give.
