... for getting the fuse box to come forward?

I've found it, undone the retaining screw so it drops, but can't get the thing to slide forward.

Feels like I'm being quite forceful but can't make it happen.

Only want to check the cigarette lighter fuse.

I was doing this Saturday. You have to persevere. Make sure it's not being snagged anywhere. Hard to explain I pushed and wiggled on the rail and eventually it began to move. Two hands needed. But, yeah it's a pig. :x :D
 
It is an absolute pig - I use a gardening kneepad so I'm around eye level from the passenger side, it always seems to snag on a bunch of cables near the right hand side (transmission tunnel side) at least with the kneepad you're not in so much discomfort whilst your finding where its snagged
 
I had to do the same thing. It was a bit of a pain - as @Stevo1987 says the fuse box can snag on various wires, and you have to apply some pressure to move it. It's then a pain to get back - the retaining clip needs to be aligned perfectly and my trim is still loose (it only had one clip and that was too short and worn). Upside down with a head torch was the easiest, but not very comfortable, way to figure it out :)

My cigarette lighter fuse was completely missing. Fuse number 5 if I recall correctly. There doesn't seem to be any numbering so you have to work it out by position.
 
So, there is a bit of technique required. You have to pull on fuse box whilst simultaneously pushing back against the slide rail with your thumb. Relatively easy once you suss it :thumbsup:

All that to find the fuse was fine :D
