Hi all ,seen a few smaller stubbies than mine  -just looked at loosening mine off-stuck tight! :headbang: (forgot to grease it in my exitement to fit it! )-seen a few on here use drills/grips etc but has anyone any tips before i break it  -thanks

What length have you got, it might just be best to leave alone, unless you really want to change.

Sacrifice it. Saw it off remove the rubber and get down to the inner metal stud. Put some penetrating oil (not wd40) on the stud then unwind it with grips.
The only thing to worry about us the base and wings paintwork

Not done this, but if i were in the same situation then make sure you have another to replace it with, get a drill, tighten the chuck as strong as you can around the end, make sure the drills turning anti clockwise (opposite to righty tighty). Hold on tight and squeeze the trigger! off it should come, once again watch your paint! :!:

That's far too uncontrollable. As likely to just spin the base in the wing, or shear off the stud and result in the need to buy a new base from BMW.
