Hello Folks!

Have read many posts on changing metal to wood to replace my metal dash on 03 Z4. My auto is Blue and beige leather with black top,
The big question is what have you seen that would look good on my vehicle??

Any suggestions are most welcome, good or bad

I have been looking around---Anybody know a source for me to get a good price on the full original BMW part#'s choices I can make :headbang:
The polar wood?
Pictures bellow of the interior---

Thank You!
Bob

Looking forward to meeting those who are going to the "08 Homecoming"

JackB1 changed his interior combination (same as your but he has merlot exterior) by adding onto the existing panels. That option was less expensive than buying BMW pieces. Are you thinking BMW or aftermarket?

Hello G,

The BMW option would be the best, but the most expensive, Did Jack go with after market?

Would go for the piano black with that interior or have the parts retrimmed in matching leather.

Dash in black leather and centre consul and door handles in cream leather.

The front end is the BMW Aero Bumper available at your local stealer! I love the new fresh look, thanks to many members who helped me pick the right one!!!!!!!!!!

Would love to check out my options for wood or black, any more ideas?

Thanks,
Bob

Hello Again,

What wood burl color do you like, I think the Japanese cherry wood? What is your vote?

I think if I due it, I will stay with a dark color, for 08 BMW has a Dark wood. I did have a black plastic dash on my 07 Mazda Miata, it did look good but as some said, have to keep dust off, but heck I am very fussy anyways so that is not a big deal for me.

Maybe I can con a BMW rep to go in the factory at Homecoming and get me the dark wood,

Back in the days the 97~02 Pontiac Grand Prix's were made in the Kansas City Fairfax plant they allowed some of the "elite" KC club members to look through a large bin of parts. They were good parts missing labels or didn't have traceability etc. We got some sway bars, headlamp assemblies etc. I will tell you not to think that BMW Greer plant has anything even remotely resembling that option. Nada...nothing...zilch. It will exist only in your dreams.

Here are a few pics of my old 2003 Z4.....look familiar?

Great story from the past, Come to think of it, I did purchase an brand new Pontiac Firebird that was Blue 1978 model, that was back when GM had the problem with putting in Chevy motors in Pontiac's Buick etc. , The chevy engine I had was the 305, the Pontiac engine was suppose to be the 307! GM got sued and many customers got a extended warranty and Lawyers got rich

Your 03 ZED looked great-----!!! Where did you get the wheels, do you remember? I will let you drive mine at homecoming if you miss the blue
