By the seaside...
well back on track ......
having being divorced twice already ......
when lawyers / soliciters are involved, there is no such thing as an amicable divorce, by the time they are finished you will hate each other .... then end up hating yourself.
My second divorce .... I pre-empted the court by giving her everything .... all I had left were my clothes .... so there was nothing to fight about .....
cost about the same ..... second one was painless .....

@Woots, a lot of solicitors offer a fixed-price 30 minute no-obligation consultation at a 'cheap' rate - obviously they're hoping to sign you up for further business - it might be worth phoning around to find one that does this and get them to explain your options

Sounds awful fella. Can't imagine having to go through all that.It's not fun. Imagine the worst break-up you've had and then multiply it by 10 times and that's about what its like.

All joking aside, if you are definately on the seperation/divorce road, then I am sorry for you and your wife.
Never like to hear such things...my work colleague recently got divorced after 18yrs of marriage!
Hope you can keep it amicable and it isnt too painfull for either of you.
