any sailors in the house?

I am looking at various boats, mainly for weekend playing around.

I came across this wee beastie;

wondered if anyone had seen/sailled or had opinions about it

looks like a lot of fun to me if the usual pitchpoling and capsizing can be avoided

now they look like a lot of fun, but I suspect that you'll need a fair amount of open space to use one.

I used to sail(dinghy) and windsurf on a lake with occasional flotilla holidays (yachting in the med), and have been thinking about getting back into it. BUt for practical reasons I'll have to stay on the small inland lakes in the south of England, so I would guess that one of those cool looking critters wouldn't work well, with lots of direction changes.

I wouldn't worry about capsizing……. that just shows your in the zone, and going for it … nothing at all to do with needing more practice (at least that's the excuse I've always used)

What do you call a snail on a boat?
