great my pic used twice and I didn't even know.

As for the MFSW I have finally got the volume and fast forward working, its taken me a year trying to get the parts from Ice Direct in Peterborough :thumbsdown: so in the end I gave up and got them direct from In Car Tec, next day deivery.

Can't answer questions on the bluetooth as I don't have it.
 
Hey RichardG, what was the part name / number you bought from InCarTec, can't find any listing for Z4 steering wheel interface on their site?
 
Had a look at a few different systems - think I'm going to go for the Alpine CDE-113BT. Has Parrott technology built-in, rear proprietary ipod cable and front facing USB/3.5mm AUX ports.

It also doesn't appear too garish or tacky looking so shouldn't appear too out of place as a Parrott stand alone unit.
 
I don't know about that Alpine I mentioned above. Think it might. As long as there is a a CD-player on the head unit I'm happy - don't want to do away with CDs all together!

No probs, you just need to look in the right place.

You need the adapter Part No. 29-628 and then a small lead depending on what head unit you have fitted.

Thanks RichardG, spoke with InCarTec, who are great and have supplied their requyired steering wheel control adapter for my facelift zed

I'm going to have a go at this, maybe get the center vent and facia adaptor sprayed together to ensure the best possible match.

Watch this space.
 
hertsz4, did you go for the clarion?
think I might get one, looks nice... going to have a look about for somewhere that I can play with one
 
Tweed, Went and had a look at loads, problem with that clarion was than the illumination colour could not be changed from electric blue, which would not matched well the redish orange illumination of my Zed. So with the criteria of;

Bluetooth for phone
SD card for MP3
Variable illumination to match Zed
Looks that would fit in with the air vents above it i went for this;

Should arrive tomorrow, it will either work really well or not at all ...

I actually really like the simplicity of it.

What do you think?
 
Taz x, Yep sure will and the MFSW controls will work with the adapter i've bought also, will hopefully have it installed by the weekend, will post some pics and await the onslaught !

With anything other than the basic business system you have to stick with the original head unit.
 
Think I'm going to use that plastidip stuff on the facia and vents so if I don't like it I just peel it off !
