Yep, mine has 4 sections but no //M embossed.

That is true it is/was not available in the US. It doesn't matter how much money you have or who you know it is not available in the US I know.

I tried to buy my M in Jet Black and there is no way to get it I know I tried and tried and tried.
I was told that BMW didn't want to build a one off car that would be worth to much later, which is really BS because there are a lot of one off Z3's with special colors and special interior colors and of course I was asking for a color that wasn't already being made and could be ordered in probably every other country in the world.
 
I noticed that when I saw all those coupes at HC. We all had *sapphire* black--no Jet Black, :x

My 325Ci was jet black and I loved the look.

If the X5 or X6 comes/came in Jet Black, then you know they had the paint in SC.
 
Thanks! That is what I thought about getting the "individual" in the US, but wasn't quite sure if anyone had really tried, since it was never advertised that the options were available elsewhere :wink:
 
I never really thought about my seats until this post but I have a 2007 3.0si Coupe with the ///M seats and the extended leather option and my seats are built the same as the ones in Smokin's picture.

I'll have to take one tomorrow when I am back home. My black seats are identical to Smokin's in terms of the construction pattern and the embossed band in the back.

No clue - to be perfectly honest I had never even thought about mine being different from any others until this thread.
 
dragging up an old thred thanks to wondermikes link - are these the seats that have fans built in for ventilation? there will be a button where the seat contols are if so.

CJ10jeeper sent me a technical drawing of this "fan" option when i was trying to retrofit the wiring dfor heated seats
 
No fans. I have heated seats, though. Looks like only 2 of us have the pattern and we both have 07 coupes. hmmmmmm
 
I've got Extended Leather Dream Red M seats in a 2005 Roadster - it also has the patterned strip on the seats.

Now we have pre and post facelift and coupe and roadster. :?
 
Digging up an old thread again,but have other post/thread on this..
it seems to be down to the FULL NEW ENGLAND,EXTENDED LEATHER OPTION that this "m-sport fleck panel" comes with,after reading these posts,and going thru my old info on previous z4.

I liked the fleck panel,split up the seat nicely/espcly in Black/and is quite rare by the sounds of it :thumbsup:

My 2005 Black 3.0i SE with m-sport seats and Full/ext NewEngland lthr had this too. Liked it,still do.
