Any other mountain-bikers on here?

I'm really into my MTB'ing too. I ride mostly all mountain/xc, trails are only 5km from my house so I go once or twice a week. There's some downhill tracks a close too, but I don't have a downhill bike... Yet
I got a 2012 specialized stumpjumper. 140mm travel front and rear, it really shreds on the technical trails... Love it lol
Would love to try riding Scotland would be so lovely and cool there. I rode on Sunday for 3 hours at 40 degrees Celsius and 100% humidity
Love the riding so much, I now ride to work and back via trails/ bike paths 30+ km per day. More fun then peak hour traffic and better on the waistline too 8) Although I get z4 related withdrawals and have to drive my beast some days
Taz have a look at www.chainreactioncycles.com they sell cube and probably the best price you will find. They seem like good quality too. For mountain bike I recommend to get one with SRAM gears.... But thats personal choice others may prefer shimano.

If you can convince your employer to sign up (no cost to them) then this is a great scheme

MTBing since early 90s and now ride a 19" Orange Crush as wanted to buy British. Got it through cycle scheme too so only paid about £500 for it.
Taz: Cube's are pretty good but make sure you spend as much as you can on the one with the best groupset. Makes all the difference. Steel or aluminium frame bikes are generally pretty good these days and if you can get one with decent front suspension forks then for the money you want to spend it's a hardtail all the way. Check out Sunsetmtb for some good deals too.
