The M is tucked up in the garage connected to the CTEK and that's where it's staying for the time being. Today was the first test of the All4 in my Countryman Cooper S. It was very sure-footed in the snow (no winter tyres). Very impressed. It's a great little car.

Just bought a CTEK for my M, out of interest what mode to you use on the CTEK, I’m confused by AGM mode or not

Cheers

i wasn't aware that AGM needed a different style of charge?? ive never done that......

No it is tucked up in the Garage :) Snow days is quattro Days noobs :P

Here's an old pic of mine (now sold) Ruby black Z4MC on the B4391 from a few years back. I remember it was around -12°C+ that day, which made for a very interesting journey!

What was the reg/vin of your MC..? Looks a lot like my one I've had this past 3 years (I know they all look the same).

The reg was RJ07 VFK, but I wonder if it is now on a private plate as it doesn't come up on the gov.uk MOT database anymore. Always wondered if it might now belong to a forum member.

Was out for a walk with the family today so took the current beater of "sludge" a pea green old Astra which was great fun handbraking in the empty Anoch Major car park (all the ski gondolas are shut for maintainance until the end of December
Son loved it........ other half not so impressed.

Will be taking the M there after work tomorrow. Snow is great to play in guilt free as no pressure on any of the mechanicals hooning about and loads of space.

Have fun. :driving: No snow on the ground down here. :(

Is that car park not up a bit of a hill from Spean Bridge. Just getting there could be fun in the Zed on snow.
Only in the uk would we not service the ski lifts in the autumn, ...BEFORE the snow arrives 😖

I was in Wales a couple weekends ago, we had just over a foot of snow! It was a fun 3 hour drive home 😉

Since I got my M in late Nov '18, it's been used pretty much throughout. However, when we did have some snow here in Oxford, I decided not to take it out on the roads, as I never showed the same restraint with my Impreza P1 and I ended up with the rear arches rotting away. I don't want the same fate to happen to my M in a few years (admittedly German steel is typically of a much better quality and heavier grade than what is found with Japanese cars).

I'm lucky that my old man has been keeping on top of cleaning both the cars in the garage, but I don't want him to end up cleaning mine more times than is necessary, due to me taking it for granted and taking it out on heavily salted roads all the time.
