Looks like most Zed meets are oop t'north. Any dah'n sarf? I live in Essex, and although our bucolic splendours may not match those of the Picts, Scots etc surely there is somewhere we gill breathers can don Ben Shermans, the white socks and cruise?
 
I'm in Essex, would like to do a photo meet as I'm a keen snapper. Basically need a bunch of shinny Z4's, a decent ideally privatae location and I will sort out a load of nice pics of our cars. :)
 
Why the private location, do we have to be naked or something...... :D ,seroiusly, I'd drive to an Essex location for some piccies and a run out.Seaside anyone?....... :thumbsup:

Thanks heaven some other Essex Zed's have come out the closet! I live 1/2 mile from the A12 in Hutton/Shenfield. How about a rollicking cockney day out to Southend (only kidding!,.......or am I?) There is some nice countryside around Essex, specifically The Easters, Pleshey, Thaxsted, Wendens Ambo, Wimbish or into Suffolk via the Headinghams, and onto Lavenham, maybe even up to Southwold/Aldburgh? Orford ness is nice too!

Docklands might be a nice backdrop too, especially around Royal Vic Dock with the old cranes and old warehouses.

I am game for it and I think you could get some great shots up there somewhere. Hows about something in September? or before summer?

I have seen a couple of Zed's parked up here and there around where I live which doesn't surprise me as a lot of City boys live where I do. You know who you, you in Lot 75 and Hollands!
 
I'm from Essex!!! ...but moved to Oxford for uni and havent moved back. :o

So I'd be massively up for an Essex meet! Plus I'd score browny points for 'visiting' my parents - I'm from South Woodham Ferrers (Chelmsford)

Where in Essex you guys from??

Yes Aebous, it's the county below Suffolk. Probably couldnt be closer other than actually being in Essex :)
 
If you come through the Hedinghams take the turning by the Sugar Loaves pub in Sible Hedingham then the up the hill and take the left, can't remember the name of the village at the end but I think it starts with an R its a natural bowl with a big green in the centre loads of pubs round it for something eat, drink and you'd get some great photo's too, it's also a pretty good well surfaced road or at least it used to be and not too busy, from there head to Old Yeldam and through Sudbury onto Lavenham etc.

Aeebus, I used to live in Sudbury, Suffolk and work in Sible Hedingham, Essex it was about 12 miles. I think were you are it would take you between 1-2 hours to get there depending on traffic.

I could be interested depending on when it is as we still have a lot of friends / reletives in the area and could kill 2 birds with one stone.
 
I am up for a meet anywhere in Essex, Suffolk or Norfolk...........as long as it involves a pub with good food at the beginning, or the middle or the end.....or even all 3. Or, there is a great fish and chip shop at the end of the main high street in Aldeburgh.

I am up for it any time other than June. As a newbie, I'd like one sooner rather than later and think April or May could be a nice time to do it.
 
Sorry to be DUMB but got a post code for the Royal Dock mentioned in this thread? I can scoupe it out sometime as I park in Canary Wharf.

I'm from Braintree (someone has to live there, its cheap what can I say).
 
If you look at Nakhon Thai Waterfront Restaurant (E16 1AH). That is at the head of the dock looking towards City airport at the other end of the dock. Cranes, old warehouses, gritty urban landscape, Excel Centre etc plus you have Thames Barrier close by and the derelict Spillers factory too.

I can PM you my mobile if you like, we could meet up and I could show you around to see what your photo eye thinks?. I am just 1/2 from A12
 
I will be going to London this weekend (as if I don't spend enough time there in the week), so I will check it out hopefully. Thanks for that.

I'd be up for a meet... I'm in Benfleet, Essex... Not too far from Southend.
