Any //M roadsters due for sale in the near future?

Morning All, I'm new here and been on the search for a 3.0 for a few months nothing has ticked enough boxes yet and as time goes on I'm starting to turn my eye towards an M as I believe they seem quite good value compared to facelift 3 litres I appreciate why but I feel an m may be a good choice personally.

Any way just wondered if any of you knew of any that may be up for sale soon I think the answer will be as active members are on obviously in love with their cars and won't be Looking to sell. I've read the couple of ads on the for sale section but interested in any others there seems to be quite a few coupes on here but not many roadsters.

Dream M would be grey (am i right in saying there were two greys available?) with red leather heated seats with dsp and therefore nav. Also like imola and could be tempted by an interlagos, or any of the rarer colours, sepang etc. personally dont want a black one. Price wise 13k max really but preferably closer to £11k!!
Cheers. Liam

Probably not the best time to buy a roadster as we e had some sun recently but there will prob be some ppl wanting to sell up

Although after a weekend of national forum meets ppl tend to fall in love with their cars all over again

But good luck! There are some out there

Having spent months just browsing on Autotrader I'd suggest that, at this time of year in particular, your budget is almost perfect for a good mileage 3.0Si but not enough for a decent ///MR - the ones in your budget have all been up for sale for a goodly while, so there must be reasons for that. I think you need at least £13-15k for a decent example right now, and even then it would have 50-60k miles on it. Personally that wouldn't bother me if it has been looked after, but if I was actually buying right now I think I'd expect to pay £14-16k for the one I want... and from personal experience, as well as that of people on here, unless you get a real minter you will also need to budget about £1k for 'stuff that needs done' after you have bought it... Even if you do get any service that's due thrown in. Stuff always crops up.

That said, there are some bargains about from people on here who need to sell quick, so best of luck

Oh, and hands off the imola red ones :x :P

Thanks that makes sense I'm probably trying to punch above my weight really just thought I'd ask. Some friends that its an expensive time of year to be looking but I'd argue its the time of year the good ones are advertised?

I just need patience but every time the sun shines I imagine driving in a zed!!

Bing i know you keep a good eye on things so appreciate your knowledge, yet still hope I can prove you wrong, probably won't though. I saw a nice 28k miler would that be likely close to a service? Which I uppose with bits like you say would add best part of a grand onto the price.

Honestly...I know we all have budgets...but if u see one that is perfect for your tastes and it's in good shape albeit slightly above what u wanna pay...just bite the bullet...
Summer might not be here long :poke:

having bought one last year - I would say Bing's advice is spot on -there may be one going for Fire Sale Money which doesn't have any issues and the right Mileage but there will be some competition for it . prices seem to have remained static for the last 12 months or so.

For about £15k you should be able to get an AUC car with two years warranty with all of the consumables in good condition and with mileage between 30-40k I reckon.

Just a case of holding out for a nice one in the specification that you want. I didn't want a black one (black sapphire) but ended up with a carbon black one with red leather as its lovely especially when cleaned up, ruby black is also really nice in the flesh.

There is an AUC app for the IPhone too and I found that if you intend to go the warranty route AUC cars are a no brainer as the warranty alone is worth quite a bit and its cheaper to renew going forward.

Liam did you see this one Add on here owner has not had it long but looks tidy and with new tyres and warranty

Thanks Matt, from a little bit of research on here I had felt prices had been fairly static so am glad you think so too, it's one reason that makes me happier to spend what, to me is a huge amount of money on a car.
If the perfect one cones up then for sure I will consider stretching further to get it.
That ad you posted is the kind of thing, spec, age etc. but personally not looking for a silver one! :)
