Any love for the 2.2

I am a 2.2 evangelist.

Had mine from new, I bought it in October 2004. I love the straight 6 and it is as smooth today as the day I picked it up. The options I couldn't afford when I bought it I have retro fitted myself, hard top, electric m sports heated seats, cruise control 18" 108's etc

Yes it is a 5 speed, but I feel there is an honesty about it, and it feels of a time rather than trying to compete with modern cars, which we all know it couldn't.

I have driven 97,000 wonderful miles in it, and I get pleasure in knowing I am in the rarest of all Z4's.

All hail the 2.2!

Just bought a low mileage 2.2 that is in really nice condition with a FSH. Lovely and smooth. It almost looks new.
So happy days.

There was a time I only had 4 gears on my cars, 5 is a bloomin' luxury IMO
