Any idea why it isnt selling?

The market does seem very deflated at the moment. I've had no interest in either of my cars which are not overpriced according to forum members. Also the car I'm looking at buying from BMW isnt shifting (even though it is overpriced). Seems to me to be a mammoth buyers market right now..

It is absolutely a buyer's market out there at the moment; however that said, it will be a long time before it's not.

In reality, people will continue to buy cars, and a well cared for car which is reasonably priced will always sell.

Ben, if the car doesn't sell at your new price point, I will be astonished. Effectively £15,000 for an 07 plate Z4M Coupe with the most recent service being an Inspection 2 - Absolute bargain.

This is exactly why I have decided to get my inspection II done at a good indy when the time is right. Spending circa £1000 for a stamp when the car is only worth close to the above is pointless imho.

However, you won't be able to trade your car in at a dealer anymore if you were going down that path.

Yes I will, they just won't be able to sell it as AUC, it will be re sold to another garage or auctioned. Dealer trade ins on full manufactuer service history on these must be circa £12k anyway though, which adds even more weight to my point, non?

My plan is to keep the car anyway, its been a good one so far hence this plan of action.

try one the car buying sites such as...webuyanycar.com
anythings worth a try

webuyanycar is offering £11k and the best BMW dealer is offering £12,500... neither are options for me at this time.

Thanks for all your thoughts and advice please find below new advert.

Appreciate your opinions now..

Well, seems you don't need my help; because that advert is fantastic! Much better - especially the photos!

Stick the new price of £15,250 on it straight away and it'll sell very quickly (if there's a buyer out there).

Condition of alloys and tread depth if good, has it had new discs and pads. If recent probably worth stating. Good luck.

Sorry, I've not heard of them but I've just realised you already have another car so you probably have a strong urge to sell. This means you will be tempted to take a low price. On this basis it will sell quickly. Bargains sell quickly, good value quality motors at the right price need the right buyer to turn up.

Life is short though so if you are no longer in love with the car or have a need to move on then do so.

These cars are in quite small numbers and good ones are getting fewer all the time so prices will firm up as they are quite iconic.

I told my mates dad that in the early 70s when he was selling his E-type for £700 and he didn't believe me either!

I've just sold my car (Audi A6 Limited Edition, high miles but top condition and a relatively high asking price compared to others)

I started off on Pistonheads, but after 2 weeks, lots of calls but no viewings I put it in Autotrader (£45), that improved interest and I got a viewing.

What really got things moving believe it or not, was putting it on eBay (£15) which I had previously ruled out due the low asking prices for most cars.

Got a calls the same day (a Sunday !) 2 days later I had a full price buyer and 2 standbys.

My son reckons it's because it is so easy to find cars on eBay's site whereas Autotrader is a pain and Pistonheads has limited coverage.

Also I always find that launching a new advertisment in the 3rd week of the month is more successful as it gets noticed by people who have just been, or are about to be, paid !

Finally touching on previous comments, if you can offer viewing in a covered and lit location, put this on your advert.

Good luck, hope you get a sale soon

Your car looks great, it should sell for the price you are asking, i'm really surprised by how few ///M's there are for sale and how the prices are dropping for some great cars, I've had mine for just a year now and when I look at the cars for sale at the price I paid it's amazing, lower mileage with more spec, it's crazy really how much car you're getting for the money, the price can't keep falling surely? :o

some of these z4 m's are selling this one was in a local bmw garage for only a few days before it sold 2006 z4m 30k £17990
