Diamond cut :? that won't work on these , they were polished lip & lacquer i believe but best way forward is get them apart then have them dipped & powdercoated .
Refurb costs should vary from £100 if you get them apart yourself to £300/£400 if you don't .
Personal thoughts are if you can't split them yourself or can't find a place to do the job sub £300 then sell the set & buy some ready to use wheels like

That's is very expensive in the UK, I just had two of my 294s refurbed they basically just did the outer part since the inners were ok but still they had to take them apart and they cost me 50€ each, they said if both the outer and inner parts needed doing then it would be around 100€. This is for painting i guess not powder coating.
Spawny Lad I would just hold on to them in case the next owner wants them to keep the car original, also gives you spare set for winter if needed.
