50k miles advertised at £12900, I'd say reasonable from a dealer? I am still struggling to figure out what these cars are selling for. You would surely hope for at least £500 off asking price?

Anyone in the solihull area to have an initial look at it if it sounds good and checks out from a phone call? thanks
Liam

Snap it up quick before Bing does.

Can help, but would be nice if it was a very early one with cheap road tax.

I have been lusting over this for weeks now - it is damn near perfect in spec (for me), so if it is in good condition and has a kosher service history I reckon it's a great buy - the mileage would not put me off. IIRC it is only lacking cup holders and the DSP stereo - for me, easy retrofit and not bothered respectively. It even has cruise control which is not a straightforward retrofit.

If I had a new job already I'd be all over this like a bad rash, but I don't :(

Worth a look for sure

if it came from the Kent area Darenth to be exact, give it a miss.

If its the one i could be, it used to be thrashed from cold mercilessly and repeatedly!

First registered 25/03/06 - so full price tax of £490 :(

DVLA says it is currently unlicensed (untaxed - ran out 30/01/13) so you will need to negotiate that thrown in at no cost if you can.

How do you know this Dario ? Was it an ex-forum member ?

Thanks guys, I hear what you say regarding the early, low tax M's but if true I read on a thread on here that the number registered in time would have been very few and generally just press cars? Obviously an awesome bonus if you find one but pretty rare I believe. So srhutch you would consider viewing it? You aren't too far away?

Dsp would be nice but not going to be a deal breaker for me, which hifi system is it most likely to have do you think?

I don't want to steal anything from you bing but maybe in a better position at the moment, if you see any others you like but don't mind sharing would be great to be pointed towards them!!

I will try and give these guys a ring tomo and keep you updated all help and advice is greatly appreciated as am a but of a novice at the moment.
Liam.

Srhutch is near Eastbourne, so not close. There are others who are closer to Solihull though. It is definitely not the cheap tax. As for the stereo, don't know how to find out without the VIN - likely to be the basic 6 speaker system though.

Don't worry Liam, I'm nowhere near buying this right now, though my desire is well known... I am pretty certain my future car is owned by a forum member, I just don't know which one of them will want to sell me theirs when I am ready :D

Good luck

Not this forum, but well know at the time. It looks the right age and colour. It had a different Reg (private plate) but it was one of the first ///M Z4's available.

The driver drove it HARD.

Nothing wrong with that but that one I or he would have steered away from. Just make sure where it came from in the UK. should be able to check the previous keepers on the reg documents.

spoke to dario, and dont think its the abused one, this one had a private late with the previous owner for 18 months of D14 SGN if that sheds any more light on it? is there any way to check service history online? thanks Liam

edit, said private reg is now on a porsche cayenne..

and since march 2011 its only done 500 miles! is that a bad thing? cant be great for the car?

Could do an HPI check. That won't tell you about service history, but will cover MOTs, any finance outstanding, whether it has been written off etc. you need to pay for the check though.

Not sure if BMW will reveal the service history of a car you don't own ?

Bing, it was this one!!!! http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=48991
Funny really I saw that thread originally now the two have come together!! Any way of knowing what it went for at the auction? A little disappointed in the dealer who said it was traded in which would appear to be untrue.

Huh, dealers not telling the truth ?? Can't be true :o

Wonder if they have sorted out all the 'dings' that appear on the auction ad Woody posted...
