Any chance these winter wheels and tyres will fit?

I doubt it, but worth asking.

My dad has a set of Audi winter alloy wheels sat around doing nothing at the moment...

However, they're huge!

Tyres are 235/50/18, any chance these will fit? I doubt it, they're 55mm extra in diameter. I live in the country and it seems our roads aren't being gritted. I slid down a hill of sheet ice this morning due to the flooded fields last week now running across the road and freezing. Not fun :(

Try one on the car and see might be the quick answer

Yes, I will, but thought I'd ask before driving all the way over, jacking up the car etc. Got no days off for the next couple of weeks so would have to do it in the cold and dark!

Assuming you were planning of taking the tyres off to fit to OEM wheels, then probably would have been okay on ex-M at about 1cm bigger all round, but the non-M tyres would make it 2cm all round which is a bit of a push.

I'd not be worried about the rears as the 2cm narrower tyre would stay away from the arch, but the front would be taller & wider!

Ah ok, thanks. Not worth messing around swapping tyres on rims for them to probably not fit anyway.
