Any Bodyshop recommendations? :(

Hi All,
I had a minor scrape in slow moving traffic today when changing lanes. Nothing structural but the front nearside panel has been pushed in a bit near where the BMW badge is. No sharp dent crease line, just the panel pushed in a bit. Also some paint taken off back to some sort of black undercoat. Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop that could pull out a dent and respray in the Surrey area please?

An update.
On examination after sleeping on it I have just been outside to double check what it looks like. i could see that what I thought was a patch of undercoat about 40mm x 20mm showing was actually an area where the SUZ's tyre had rubbed against the body work and left some rubber.

I have wiped the whole area in a wet cloth to clean up for a better inspection. I then found that my fingernail was able to peel off little bits of the tyre rubber. I got what I could off with my nail and then used a bit of my wife's nail varnish remover on the rubber and then wiped it down with a fresh dampcloth.

I have managed to clean off all the black rubber. So now I am left with a faint paint blemish where the tyre marks were that I think could be polished out, a small scratch and the fact that the panel has been pushed in a little.

I have tried reaching in through the engine bay and can get my hand past the frame into the void where the panel would be reached but cant reach far enough to actually touch the panel from the other side.

I think someone with the right tools could maybe pull the dent out but I've never had anything like that done before. Is there anyone that people can recommend or anything I need to know?

Be careful with the nail varnish remover or you’ll be eating into your clearcoat. I’m near Farnham and have polishing equipment if you want to give it a go, but wouldn’t be much help with the dent. There are lots of mobile PDR (paintless dent removal) specialists around who can knock out the most inaccessible dents. Try a google search locally.

Thats a very generous offer, thanks [ref]Zedebee[/ref]. I'll try and get the dent sorted and then I may take you up on the offer. Never having done anything like that before maybe I could pick your brains and get some guidance too?

The tricky thing is that the panel is pushed in near where there is the intentional diagonal crease line in the body. I am concerned that someone who doesnt know the Z4M wouldnt know that shape that needs to be achieved.

A decent PDR technician will be able to tell you the results you can expect just by looking at the dent. There’s no harm in getting a no obligation appraisal.

Thanks for the advice [ref]Zedebee[/ref], its quite calming to talk to someone about it. I have found a company based in Woking so I will ring them and see if I can drive the car over so they can get a look in person and get a quote. fingers crossed.

To wrap up this story of woe I took [ref]Zedebee[/ref]'s advice and searched for PDR technicians in my local area. I found Prestige Dent Solutions. The chap has been today and his work was immaculate. Other than a slight scratch caused by the ding you wouldnt know there had been an incident. £150 for about 2 hours work. He was very professional and friendly and I would definitely use his services again.

I hadnt spotted but he pointed out that he thinks there used to be an M badge beside the side repeater light. You can see the slight discolouration in the paint where the badge used to be so perhaps the tyre that made contact with my body panel took the badge off. I dont think I'm too worried about the missing badge but it would be nice to try and tidy the paintwork so it isnt noticeable.

All in all I am much happier now :) Thanks for the very helpful suggestion [ref]Zedebee[/ref].
