Anti social moron...

This is true....

Muckinonthesofa was just asking what I thought of the GruppeM, well other day after fitting it I took it for the obligatory test run, when I came back up the village road I saw my missus stapling a flyer to the telegraph pole near our house, she takes no notice of cars so didn’t notice the M, so I trundled up to her side in neutral then redlined it..... Honestly there were some choice words a lady just should not utter in public....!!

When she got home she called me an anti social moron.... Just about sums an M with an induction kit fitted up to a T.... :driving:

She probably won't have to put up with it for long if you have a habit of red lining the engine with no load on it......

Lol!

Yonks ago I was going through a tunnel on a 1000cc Ducati with Ti Termongni pipes. There was a Tamora with it's roof down bellowing away. I de-clutched and briefly hit the rev limiter and the chap shat his pants, nearly steering into the wall!

OK, I will admit to having a TR3 with an exhaust cut out so I could pull a wire and go to straight pipe. And that I used to like to do that in tunnels particularly.

But I'd never run an engine to high rpm with no load. I was at a hill climb and some git with a Cortina was doing that repeatedly, and everyone else was getting heartily tired of it (we were all at the top of the hill waiting to be allowed to go down again). He finally blew his engine in a fairly big way and actually drew a standing ovation from the other drivers who also thought that he was both annoying and foolish to stress the unloaded engine like that.
